Kaylene Rozite

Director, WeCare4U Services

From the moment I began my journey in care, I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do but provide support to those in need. Ensuring people are heard, respected, and receive the care they require has always been my passion.

After finishing school, I started my career as a Personal Care Assistant in aged care, a role that introduced me to a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. This experience led me to pursue Enrolled Nursing, allowing me to work across various settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centres, psychiatric wards, emergency departments, and surgical units on the Mornington Peninsula, where I grew up. I thrived in this field for 20 years, but my annual family trips to East Gippsland sparked a profound love for the area. On a spontaneous holiday visit, we bought a house, and within five months, we relocated. Fourteen years later, we haven’t looked back.

At the time of our move, I was also welcoming my third child and felt the need for a career change. Balancing part-time study with motherhood was challenging, but I enjoyed pushing myself and advancing my skills. To further enhance my skills, I took on a casual role supporting people with disabilities. This role quickly expanded as word of mouth led parents to seek my support for their children. It was then that I realised how my Diploma of Education, combined with my nursing background, provided me with the ideal foundation to start my own business.

My aim was to meet clients' medical care needs while offering meaningful programs. As demand grew and I could no longer meet all the care requests alone, I began advising caregivers from other providers. However, I noticed a significant gap in compassionate care, choice, and control within the community. This led me to assemble a team that I am incredibly proud of today.

I firmly believe that the high quality of care we provide is a direct result of the compassionate, dedicated, and professional team we have built. Through our collective work ethics, values, and authenticity, we are committed to enriching our community and ensuring that each individual has the choice and control they deserve.
